The NFL Commissioner disappointed the entire nation with his childish and provocative comment which was supposed to bring some new “rebalance” after the tension was ignited once again between the players, the coaches, the media and, of course, the football fans.
However, the leftists refused to back off for the greater good and NFL’s drama got even worse. Many players and coaches stepped out to say what they think and how they feel about the national anthem.
The NFL has a long patriotic tradition. That tradition is demanded to be erased by some very sick people who just can’t stand the existence of the USA as a separate country.
Packers’ Coach Mike McCarthy knows this and he tried to raise the awareness among the players and the commissioners in the NFL. He sent a clear message about him and his team, as well as his intentions to continue his patriotic tradition and relation with his players who, as he believes, will stand behind him and give him full support, Medison reports.
“It’s something that I’ve done each and every year here since I’ve been the head coach,” McCarthy said. “We have a PowerPoint presentation that you update (each year), and you always try to deliver the message clearly to the team.
“Our approach has always been to give the history and the understanding of what the national anthem means, and why it’s played before any National Football League game, particularly how (the tradition) started after World War II. I go through the whole history and the importance of what it means to you personally.”
For this coach, the anthem is a sacred thing and he expects his players to treat the anthem with respect.
Finally, someone to talk freely about his patriotic views and to show some respect for the anthem.
